Creating Wood Sculpture Art at the Waco Cultural Arts Fest 2011

The FREE Waco Cultural Arts Fest 2011 starts in just 19 days at Indian Spring Park.

One of my favorite art activities at the WCAF is the wood sculpture tables.  Here you take different shapes and sizes of wooden pieces (scraps) and build with them.  When you have it just the way you want, you glue it together.  Then you get to paint your creation.  This year Robbie Barber, Professor of Sculpture at Baylor University and his students will assist you in your creation.

I enjoy making my art alongside children, teenagers, parents, and senior citizens. It is fun to get ideas from other artists in a multi-generational atmosphere.
