The FREE Waco Cultural Arts Fest 2011 starts in just 21 days at Indian Spring Park.
NEW this year is a Friday night open mic from 7-10 pm September 16. Well known entertainment personality Kurt Krakowian will be the master of ceremonies for the event and will also be signing up performers. If you or your band would like to perform, to sing, to play an instrument, to present a comedy act, to dance, or anything else appropriate for a family audience open mic, please e-mail Kurt at texasvarietyentertainment@gmail.com.
The Friday night event is named the ‘Richard Thomas Open Mic Night’ honoring the late Richard Thomas who gave so freely of his enormous talent as a jazz musician and as a wonderful community member to promote the arts through the WCAF.
There will be a ‘swing dance’ on the Indian Spring Amphitheater stage from 10 – 11 pm. Pre-recorded music will be played so that audience members may dance.
